Michael J. W. Greven, LEED AP -

Michael Greven’s 20 years in the construction industry, has provided him the opportunity to work in a wide variety of historical, commercial and residential development and construction projects. Through his work, interests, studies and travels, Michael has recognized the critical importance of focusing the design and construction of a project on an integrated program of energy efficiency, sustainability and architectural design.

Michael Greven is committed to taking construction to a new level where sustainability and energy efficiency are creatively considered, hand in hand with architectural design and project cost. Too often “first cost” is considered to be most important on a project. As either building consultant or construction manager, Michael will be able to help owners better understand how sustainability and achievable “first costs” can be incorporated to create truly successful projects.

In January 2007 Michael pursued and attained the US Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Professional Accreditation for Commercial Construction. In February 2007 he completed training in the LEED for Homes certification in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In June 2007, Michael began his training with the Michigan Energy Demonstration Center at Northwestern Michigan College in the physical aspect of solar photovoltaic panel installation. He continues that process later this summer.
